Cloud Native Zürich - Code of Conduct

Cloud Native Zürich is a place to learn, share, and meet people. That only works when everyone feels welcome and safe.

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.

Be decent to each other

Treat everyone with respect: speakers, attendees, sponsors, volunteers, and organizers alike. These rules apply across all conference and workshop venues, official social events, and online spaces.

Harassment in any form isn't okay. This includes:

  • Offensive verbal comments related to personal characteristics or tech choices.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Harassing photography or recording.
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events.
  • Unwelcome physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.

Keep it professional

Sexualized language, imagery, or environments don't belong here. This applies to talks, workshops, and sponsor booths alike. Sponsor staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing, uniforms, costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.

If someone asks you to stop, stop immediately.

If something's wrong

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is, or have any other concerns, please let us know right away.

  • In person: Find any organizer. You can easily spot us by our branded t-shirts or hoodies.
  • Via email: Reach out to conduct@cloudnativezurich.ch.

We will listen, help, and act. This can include giving a warning, escorting you safely, contacting venue security or local law enforcement, or expelling someone from the conference without a refund.

We'd much rather never need to. Help us keep it that way.
